In the following video different possibilities are shown how to prepare for and enter sirsasana (headstand).
How to prepare for sirsasana:
Interock the fingers and form a half-shell.
Press the wrists and forearms firmly into ground.
The elbows are shoulder-wide.
Bring the crown of the head to the ground, the back of the head into the half-round shell of your hands.
Lift the shoulders strongly away from the ground and move the shoulder blades in – away from the wall.
The neck remains long and there is no heavy weight on the neck and head.
Lift your knees from the ground and walk closer with your feet, without touching the wall with the back, keep your shoulders lifted.
Stretch both legs (feet together) and then lift the right leg fully stretched up.Turn the front thigh in while you lift the leg.
Bring the right leg back to the ground and repeat with the left leg.
