Iyengar yoga is a systematic method of Hatha Yoga named after B.K.S. Iyengar. The Iyengar method works on the principle of meditation in action. Practitioners concentrate closely on the movements in the yoga postures (asanas), bringing the body into balance by increasing mobility, stability, strength and alignment. At the same time, this intense concentration draws the attention inward, quieting and integrating mind and body.
Since 2011 I have practiced regularly Iyengaryoga with my teacher, who has lived in India for a long time and studied directly ten years with Guruji BKS Iyengar. I started my training as a yoga teacher at the Iyengar Yoga Institute in Berlin in 2013 and finished in 2016.
Portfolio of my drawings and papercuts, which have yoga as subject. Through the graphic realization and the visual study of the body in the asanas (body postures) it has been possible for me to observe the lines, the form, the center of gravity and the alignment in the posture.
